‘At TFG, I’ve found a place where I can thrive and contribute meaningfully every day.’

– Nevena Antic, Audit Assistant at The Finance Generation

When did you start at The Audit Generation?

I started working at The Finance Generation from February 1, 2024.

What were the reasons for applying to work at The Audit Generation?

One of the main reasons I decided to change jobs is the opportunity for professional development and advancement that The Finance Generation offers. I believe that this company will provide me with new challenges and opportunities for learning and growth. Additionally, what sets the company apart and further attracted me is the positive reputation The Finance Generation has regarding its work culture and company values.

What was your first impression of the company?

My first impression is that there is a very positive and pleasant atmosphere among colleagues in the company. Additionally, one can notice right from the start the absence of hierarchy among employees, so you can always approach any colleague for help at any time.

What is your current impression of the company?

After six months of working at the company, I can observe that the company strives to develop various innovative solutions in the field of data analytics to make the audit process as comprehensive as possible. This development in the field also allows employees to focus more on understanding the business processes within the company and the essence of the audit process instead of reviewing numerous documents.

Can you elaborate on your own career/background and how The Audit Generation fits into this perspective?

After studying at the Faculty of Economics, I had the opportunity to work both in a private company in the financial sector and in audit in Big4, where I gained basic knowledge in accounting and auditing. What characterizes companies in the Serbian market is their cooperation predominantly with domestic companies. In my career, I wanted to turn to the international market, which was made possible within The Finance Generation. In the company, I have the opportunity to collaborate with international companies operating in various industries.

Can you explain what the most difficult things were when you started working for a Dutch auditing company?

Definitely, one of the biggest challenges is encountering programs that are not fully translated into English. Additionally, given the collaboration with international clients, it often happens that the documentation provided to us is in Dutch. However, with the help of team members who selflessly offer their assistance, we successfully overcome the challenges ahead of us.

In which way can you describe your performance and your added value to the Dutch auditing branch?

During my six months at the company, I have primarily focused on adapting to the new methodology and approach. The environment that encourages development and learning has contributed to my rapid integration. I am now able to independently handle a significant portion of the tasks related to my position. I strive to think outside the box, suggest new ideas and perform my job with the highest possible quality.

What do you like about the atmosphere and culture of The Finance Generation?

The first thing I would mention is the positive and enthusiastic work environment, which certainly contributes to higher employee productivity. Colleagues are willing to generously share their knowledge, thereby contributing to the development of others. Also, one thing that I believe is important and is an integral part of Dutch culture is the organization of various events, sports activities, and similar initiatives aimed at strengthening bonds among employees.
